Winter Trends 2014

Look HOT this winter as the temperatures drop.

Welcome to the very first blog from the rejuvenated, new look Restyle You site. Instead of having to wait a whole month for a ‘style tips fix’ you can either log on to my blog on the website or enjoy the weekly updates delivered to your inbox.

This month is dedicated to over viewing this season’s trends.

There are some exciting new comers, a few ‘pull through’ trends from last year and as usual one or two to navigate with care….barge pole anyone?

Image makeoverAnkle Boots

Ankle boots are everywhere this season and just the thing to update your existing winter look instantly.

Think of a design, feel, heel height and you will find it with not too much bother. My preference is for a heeled boot that still exposes the curve of your ankle; these are by far the most flattering and can be worn with dresses and skirts.

You can now own a biker jacket without the expense of a bike and not look out of place. Biker style jackets are incredible flattering for all body shapes and are now available in soft colour tones and fabrics; they look not only great with skinnies and boots but can also give an edge to a pencil skirt and closed court shoes.

The jacket featured cleverly encompasses three winter trends in one, being the biker style, quilting and zips-available from Witchery at the ‘Mothership’ (Woolworths).

Scarves are a winter staple and a great way to inject some colour to your overall   look. I love this one as it combines the monochrome look (a pull through trend from last season) and pink, the new hot colour for winter.

Have a splendid week, same time, same place next week don’t forget to check out the new website, some exciting additions have been made not only for personal styling but corporate services as well.
